This morning I&#8217;m working on University of Alberta&#8217;s fantastic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coursera.org\/learn\/indigenous-canada\">Indigenous Canada<\/a> course &amp; cross-referencing dates with my direct ancestor <a href=\"https:\/\/gravesideproject.ca\/?p=883\">Jacob Rawn<\/a>, who was born already a settler 100 years before the Indian Act of 1876. This work is making pretty damned plain my responsibility to figure out how to participate actively in Truth and Reconciliation. I am a direct and traceable beneficiary of the oppression of Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
