We’re proud to present the following poster from afar at the Improving University Teaching \u2013 Annual Global Education Conference for University Teaching<\/a>. The research herein <\/span>represents<\/span> a two-year collaboration with <\/span>four excellent (then) undergraduate students: Manya Bansal, India Pereira, Jeanie Woo, and Aster Huang. Our title is:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Centering Students when Evaluating Impacts of a Departmental Grade Alignment Policy <\/strong><\/p>\n

We co-designed the research and collaborated on data collection using our Psychology Department’s HSP (Human Subject Pool). The students led the <\/span>qualitative analyses <\/span>of their peers\u2019 responses, with guidance from me along the way. We are still working on refining the themes in writing, but this poster shares our main ideas so far.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>An <\/span>online poster was the most accessible medium for everyone to be involved in its presentation. <\/span>Both the topic and <\/span>process are<\/span> aimed at shifting our departmental culture toward more collaboration with students on policies that <\/span>impact<\/span> them.
