La Grand Poutine Fest :D

Okay, so today was the first day of La Grand Poutine Fest et Festival des Bieres Artisanales a l’Universite de Sherbrooke! The festival was set up beside the Sports Center, so there was lots of room for all of the game booths and poutine food trucks.  There was also stands for bear paws and lemonade and beer, but I just had poutine.  It was so, so good! Amazing poutine-ness.  The following gallery features food and the location of the Poutine Fest.  So glad I went!

After the Poutine Fest a group of us went to a university party that was hosted outside the engineering building.  There were a lot (and I mean a lot) of people.  The DJ played a soundtrack that was a mix of French and English music, and a mix of songs that were either very recent or totally 90’s.  It was awesome XD.  There were people dancing and wearing ridiculous outfits and everything.  My friends and I stayed for about and hour or so, the peace’d out before things got really rowdy.  And that, is that!

  1. I LOVE Food Festivals – great music, good weather, fantastic and mostly decadent fare to consume ( at THIS one for sure ) and an interesting and wide diversity of people all about. It looks as though you’re really embracing the flavour of Sherbrooke.. Enjoy .. and .. Bon Appetite!!

The Grouse Grind awaits thee when you come back to Vancouver …. 😉

Keep the pictures coming – it’s lots of fun following your trip this way!
