Bon nuit! Okay, so today we went to La Musee des Beaux Arts en Sherbrooke. It was very nice. Really, I was hoping to find Brueghel’s “Landscape with the Fall of Icarus” because of the W.H Auden poem “Musee des Beaux Arts,” but Auden actually wrote that poem when he was in Brussels… which I just reminded myself of right now XP for more info check out this link: https://www.bl.uk/collection-items/landscape-with-the-fall-of-icarus
I even asked the guide if they had the painting there. Now I feel kind of embarrassed XD. The guide said that they actually may have one in storage…but I could not really understand their reply. How about that. I could ask if they had the painting but not understand their reply! His accent was very Quebecois however… and Quebecois French is spoken much faster and certain parts of words are combined together so they sound like one word (part of the dialect, that is one thing we learned today!).
