About Charlotte

My name is Charlotte Grace Bowen and I am first year student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

Having grown up in a small country in the heart of Europe called Luxembourg, I learnt to speak Luxembourgish, French, German and of course English. In combination with my parents being immigrants from Australia and Canada and having attended both a Luxembourgish and international school, it is needless to say that I have had a very multicultural and diverse upbringing.

I am currently in one of UBC’s Coordinated Arts Programs, PPE, which focuses on Politics, Philosophy and Economics, primarily in a Canadian context. I also decided to take an introductory First Nations and Indigenous Studies course, to enrich myself with further knowledge regarding Canada’s historical, social and cultural context from a often disregarded perspective.

I have yet to choose a specialization as I am still exploring what UBC has to offer, prior to declaring a major. However, once I graduate from UBC in 2020, I hope to continue my studies at law school.
