Engineering Research Day at Chemical and Biological Engineering UBC 2016

We would like to invite you to a day full of networking and scientific/professional communications on February 11th,ENGINEERING RESEARCH DAY 2016 hosted by the ​Graduate Student Council of ​Chemical and Biological Engineering​ Department​ (CHBE) with  support ​from CHBE and APSC.

logo2Research Day, on February 11, 2016, is a graduate student-driven initiative hosted by the Chemical and Biological Engineering department in the Faculty of Applied Science of the University of British Columbia to strengthen relations with industry at the graduate level, to facilitate collaborations and to connect communities. The theme of the event is “Energy Solutions for a Sustainable Future”. This full day event will showcase the quality of research work by engineering students in the form of three-minute-thesis competition and poster session. It will also feature a CHBE centennial presentation, two keynote speeches, technical presentations, a panel discussion on job search strategy and entrepreneurship for graduate students, an industry exhibition and lots of networking opportunities. This event is expected to attract a minimum of 100-150 students, researchers and faculty members from UBC Engineering departments as well as industry and community representatives. Participants will have the chance to present their work, expand their professional networks and explore collaboration/hiring opportunities.
