This is in part for a Teaching with Technology showcase at UBC Dec. 7, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m collecting them on a page on the UBC Wiki, but they are also embedded below&#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class='wiki-embed  wiki-target-url-not-set' rel='http:\/\/wiki.ubc.ca\/Sandbox:Accessible_Documents_Links'>\n<div class=\"mw-content-ltr mw-parser-output\" lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><p>The following are links to resources that can help when creating documents like MS Word, Power Point slides, PDF and more, to ensure they are accessible. \n<\/p>\n<ul><li>The <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/open.ubc.ca\/teach\/oer-accessibility-toolkit\/\">UBC Open Educational Resources accessibility toolkit<\/a> has information that can be used for creating accessible documents.<br><\/li><\/ul><ul><li><a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/queensu.ca\/accessibility\/how-info\/accessible-documents\">Queens University information<\/a> on how to create accessible MS Word, Power Point, and PDF documents.<br><\/li><\/ul><ul><li><a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/studentsupport\/accessibility\/accessible-resources.html\">The University of Kent's page on accessible documents<\/a> includes information on accessibility considerations for email, posters, and more.<br><\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Two modules from an accessibility in broadcast media course from Humber College talk about creating accessible documents: <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.humber.ca\/makingaccessiblemedia\/modules\/05\/10.html\">Part One<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.humber.ca\/makingaccessiblemedia\/modules\/05\/11.html\">Part Two<\/a><br><\/li><\/ul><ul><li>If you use Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides, <a rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/www.grackledocs.com\/\">Grackle Docs<\/a> has accessibility checkers that can help ensure accessible documents\/slides.<br><\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Microsoft also has accessibility checkers in its latest versions of Office software.
