What have I learned from expressing myself with the digital tools?

I think digital tools could help discover my potentials to express myself in brand new ways. For example, even though it was really a time consumer, making a video through VideoScribe provided me the opportunity to organize my thoughts and deliver them visually without any experience of drawing. It needs a totally different way of organizing thinking, collecting materials and assembling all the parts together.

However, since my Mac is kind of old, the working experience with VideoScribe is not fluent and comfortable. I have to restart the software a million times to keep it fluent. It is also rely heavily on the bandwidth, if you wanna upload a high quality video to YouTube.

Digital tools also have limitations for sure. Their limitation is also the limitation to users’ expression as well. Since VideoSCribe is a relatively easier tool, you are forced to use elements, pictures and animations provided my the tool or search engine. All the ideas have to be visualized by existed materials. It becomes really difficult with highly abstracted concepts and ideas. Sometimes it makes expression harder and reluctant.
