Google processes over 40,000 search queries<\/strong> every second<\/strong>, which translates to over 3.5 billion searches per day<\/strong> and 1.2 trillion searches per year<\/strong> worldwide.<\/p>\n All these big data gathered by Google are then further analyzed (#datamining) and translated into information for companies.<\/p>\n What is interesting though, is the free analytical software offered by Google. By far, the most popular analytical tool is Google Analytics, and there is definitely a reason for it.<\/p>\n Firstly, this analytical software is integrated with the internet’s largest paid search platform: Google Adwords. It is highly important for social marketers to track landing page activities and understand what their customers are behaving like on their website.<\/p>\n I tried using the software with my colleagues and we were able to understand the traffic patterns, traffic sources, paid search statistics and even what pages people are clicking to view into. It is absolutely amazing!<\/p>\n Although I had to spend a bit of time watching the tutorials to find out how to use it,\u00a0I find it very useful in helping me understand what changes to\u00a0recommend to my client.\u00a0Also I find it interesting being able to influence the numbers on the reports but using social media platforms to direct traffic.<\/p>\n
