In developing my educational philosophy, I am coming to see that the things that influence me the most come from different directions, but overlap in unexpected ways.\u00a0 As I look into the First People’s Principles of Learning, Place-based Education, Land Education, Video Game Design and Education, and Slow Pedagogy, among others,\u00a0 I began to see connections between them.<\/p>\n
Learning experiences have become fragmented, broken down by subject and broken down into discrete units of time.\u00a0 The experience of learning has become less immersive.\u00a0 Emerging pedagogies call for a return to connection, to wholeness, to immersion.<\/p>\n
