About

Hello!

My name is Cissy, I am a student at UBC studying Geography! I am currently in my second year, and I am hoping to graduate in 2020!

One of my favourite places that I’ve visited in the world so far is Bhutan! The country is below China, above India, and beside Nepal but not connect by border. I was lucky enough to visit the country with my classmates in my last year of high school on a humanitarian trip! 3 unique things about the country is that there must be always 70% of forest cover in the country, the country values more on Gross National Happiness than Gross National Product, and that there are no traffic lights in the whole country!

Bhutan was such a sustainable country, they are not only carbon neutral but they are a carbon sink, that takes in more carbon emission than they produce! Visiting the country has definitely inspired me to focus more of my studies into sustainability and the environment!

After my journey to Bhutan, I am hoping to visit more unique and beautiful countries, Iceland and Greece are next on my list!
