These guides are the result of the Indigenization Project, a collaboration between BCcampus and the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. The project was supported by a steering committee of Indigenous education leaders from BC universities, colleges, and institutes, the First Nations Education Steering Committee, the Indigenous Adult and Higher Learning Association, and M\u00e9tis Nation BC. These guides are intended to support the systemic change occurring across post-secondary institutions through Indigenization, decolonization, and reconciliation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(Description Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/bccampus.ca\/projects\/indigenization\/\">BCcampus<\/a>)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em><br \/>\nAuthors:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Ian Cull<\/strong>\u00a0was the inaugural Senior Advisor to the DVC on Indigenous Affairs at UBC (Okanagan). Before this, he served as Associate Vice-President, Students since UBC Okanagan opened in 2005. He has been instrumental in building outstanding partnerships and programs to support Indigenous culture, history, language, philosophy and knowledge on campus during the past 15 years. He is a member of Dokis Indian Band located in Ontario, Canada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Stephanie Mckeown<\/strong>\u00a0works as the chief institutional research officer at the University of British Columbia. Stephanie conducts educational and institutional research to inform Educational Policy, Educational Management and Educational Assessment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Adrienne Vedan<\/strong> is the Senior Advisor to the DVC on Indigenous Affairs. Before this, she served as Director of Aboriginal Programs and Services, for which she was appointed in 2012.
