Depending on the project, our research is done at children\u2019s schools, at UBC, or at children\u2019s homes.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/clcl\/files\/2020\/02\/oekaki-2009817_1920.jpg\" alt=\"A view from above of a child scribbling with colorful crayons on a large piece of paper.\" width=\"400\" \/><\/center><br \/>Some of our current projects explore:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The relationship between children\u2019s language and the problem solving strategies that they use<\/li>\n<li>The role of children\u2019s active or \u201cworking\u201d memory for visual and verbal information in language learning and use<\/li>\n<li>How children learn to use language to talk about their experiences and tell stories<\/li>\n<li>The importance of language for problem solving and reasoning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nFor example, a recent research project is the Narrative SKILL project, which investigated how to best teach storytelling to children with ASD.<\/p>\n<p>Think you or your child might be able to help us with our projects?
