This project overlooked many meteorological processes that govern temperature at a local scale. Some examples may be solar heating, wind speed, and surrounding human-made altercations. However, through this project, I have developed a full understanding of the ArcMap\u2019s Geostatistical Toolset, and I can already see many areas of improvement that can be done to improve the model. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">A solar surface warming map can be created using average incident solar radiation averaged throughout the month. \u00a0Starting with a DEM of the area and its soil type; the amount of surface heating in degrees can be calculated from the length of day. This result can be added to the interpolation result. A further addition to the model can include a modeled precipitation count, accounting for wind speed we can calculate the theoretical latent heat released if we assume a percentage of water are fully evaporated instead of lost to runoff or biological uptake.
