AGM and Social Mixer!

I would like extend the invitation to everyone for the Club de Español’s Annual General Meeting (4:00-4:30) and super fun social mixer/meet and greet afterwards (4:30-5:30) on Monday November 26th in Room 56A of the SUB (across the hall from travelcuts).

The meeting will be our group colaboration of what everyone wants to see the Spanish Club doing, what sort of activities and functions, over the 2012/2013 school year.

The Mixer is a way for everyone to get to know each other, and get us excited about speaking Spanish (and all the amazing people involved). For all people debating whether or not to join the club, then this is the event for you!
We hope to see everyone there!

We have some amazing news for all official UBC Club de Español members (or considering members)! As of last Friday, your membership card will get you into ALL Vancouver Latin Fever events at a 50% discount! That’s right folks, that includes Cancun Fridays at the Redroom, Salsa Tuesdays at Joe’s Apartment and many more events for half price cover.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity. If you haven’t got your membership card yet,  we will be selling memberships in the SUB from 12-2pm on Wednesday Nov. 14th, so come get yours!

Hello everyone y bienvenidos al nuevo Club de Español (that’s the Spanish Club for everyone just starting to learn)! We’ve just recently started up here at UBC and are open to all students wanting to learn, practice, or further their skills in the Spanish language. We will be holding events over the year, so stay tuned to stay in the know.

To sign up (membership for the year is only $5), we will have a booth in the SUB on the main floor, Wednesday the 14th from 12:00-2:00pm. If you can’t make it then, just bring your money to your first event, and we’ll sign you up then!
