A layer of the major settlements of Vancouver Island and their approximate corresponding index values has been included as a reference.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.arcgis.com\/apps\/MapTools\/index.html?appid=375181b3e50c4fe58d9fda0fffa96040&amp;extent=-133.1767,47.7742,-120.9819,51.6024\" width=\"640px\" height=\"480px\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This map was created using Esri&#8217;s ArcGIS Online map-making applications. Due to the limitations of displaying raster datasets and size restrictions on many of the freely available online GIS mapping applications, the results of the sub-indexes and the final combined index were converted to polygon shapefiles for web display purposes. This has resulted in inaccuracies when viewing the index maps at scales greater than approximately 1:50,000.
