As mentioned in my brief introductory post, my name is Cody Peters. I am a B.C. resident, and a student at UBC. I enjoy all kinds of media, but I am especially fond of any kind of gaming; tabletop, TCG’s, videogames, role-playing, you name it, and if it’s nerdy enough I’ve probably tried it! That being said, I am also an avid outdoors person, and I love spending time in the beautiful nature that surrounds us in this province; kayaking, mountain biking, or just wandering around in the woods, it’s all a good time.
As for my academic and professional background, I used to work in the culinary industry, having obtained a diploma in Culinary Arts right after high school. After several years of working in the industry, however, I felt the need to make some changes and returned to post-secondary and got my Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies, with a focus on Anthropology and English. After completing my B.A., I went on to complete the TESL program through UBC, wherein one of my professors brought my attention to the MET program as they felt it lined up very closely to my passions for tech, teaching, and learning in general.
If you ever want to chat about games, literature, or life in general, feel free to shoot me a message, and I look forward to spending the semester with you all!
