The talented professional athlete, many think that they are over payed. \u00a0The NBA has roughly 450 players and they cannot split up four billion dollars in revenue between themselves and their owners. \u00a0This seems like a ridiculous argument when discussing such a large amount of money. \u00a0Even though the poor state the economy is in the United States professional sport continues to be a hugely successful industry. \u00a0The revenue made, and the salaries earned by players is ridiculously high, and yet the players and owners still want more. \u00a0The average salary for NBA players last season was 5.15 million and the minimum salary was $473,604. \u00a0The average american worker made $41,674. \u00a0It is understandable to have an opportunity to spilt up the revenue fairly. \u00a0However, it is not relatively important when the amount of money earned playing one year in the NBA at an average salary would take the average american worker 123 years of work to earn. \u00a0The NBA will probably loose their entire season as this miserable battle of greedy athletes and owners wears on.<\/p>\n
