I would prefer B, it provides more room for creativity, group work, and freedom. A is very competitive and not conducive to generating ideas
-
cicisong
B is perferred since there are more rooms for creativity. It is less competitive compared to A, and B has more area to expand your skills.

i prefer to choose B. B look like solid structure. but A is slim, not strong. it’s easy to be broken.

B) Because shorter chain of command leads better communication result

jian(Jane) zhang
The manager team in proportion to the worker base for a) is more powerful than that for b). Therefore performance evaluation for a) would be more standardized and thus rigid than b) where more creation would occur.

B is preferred since there are more people in the same level, better communication, and less competitive since job levels are less distinct

B
the spread out shape of B is more efficient since more is working at the bottom.
it seems more profitable -

Lack of a high hierarchy in structure B enables more empowerment, and likely higher performance
-
yenalee
Performance evaluation is contingent on the degree of hierarchy behind organizational structures. A > B in terms of more strict evaluations.
-
tamarbatrawi
Prefer to work for A: levels of hierarchy are less so those evaluating us for our performance are more concentrated on our performance
-

I would rather work in A. The shape of A represents that each manager evaluates fewer people, and thus the evaluation will be more accurate.
-
geniechang
A as structure B resembles a performance evaluation of a corporate company so there are more competition in the lower part of the pyramid.
-
thomasmcneilage
While an organizational structure like A would likely have a more direct performance evaluation, B’s would be more broad in scope.
-

A! As there are less people on the higher part so if I contribute more, I can earn more money which cause a great motivation.
-
amynixon
We would say A because it appears more structured, which would ensure a closer relationship with those evaluating you.
-

A) Long command chain-PE will be done by middle-manangement
B) Performance evaluated by upper management, direct connection
Prefer A -
garyyu
A) less people that managers supervise, allowing for more one-on-one feel, personal feedback, accountability. Small groups > large teams
-
julianheaney
A shows fewer employees per tier, there for PE of B involves comparison ones performance to their peers. My choice is business specific.
-
Huan Yan
I prefer structure A. The fewer people at the beginning level, the easier for me to stand out. More opportunities for everyone.

fraserdenton
A) lots of middle management, evaluation of employee base is distant/objective B) less middle management, evaluation: subjective/personal
-

For A, company is evaluated by leader’s performance, whereas in B, company is based on entry level job performances.
Rather work in A -
harnoorgill
B better: high ratio of managers to workers, clearer info & instructions give. More delegation of jobs so easier to assess performance.
-
Yash Multani
Organzational Structure A would have a better performance evaluation as each employee is in charge of another rather than the range in B.
