business ethics
Johnson & Johnson has recalled 200,000 bottles of Motrin Infants formula, a children’s medication that treats fevers, aches and pains. According to the FDA’s website, the medicine could contain tiny plastic particles, causing a potential hazard, that were identified in a different lot during manufacturing. The company warned that the medicine may be contaminated with specs of PTFE, a plastic also used in Teflon coatings. No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date, according to the company.
As I am see it, no matter the producer or the third party supplier, they should be responsible for that. Just think about it, if this goods didn’t discover and recall, and then it is eaten by the babies, what would happen? Nobody wants their babies’ health to be threaten by anything, right? Consumers also lost faith in Johnson & Johnson this brand and even other brands which are selling the similar products.
What’s more, this kinds of situations are increasingly common in our daily life, especially in China. The government should do something to solve this problem. For example, the department of food security should be much more strict on the goods. We cannot prevent this, but can reduce it.
Maybe this is all I want to say……..
