Big planes always have empty seats, but small planes always full of people. People care more about price instead of room for their legs.

bigger planes are necessary to ensure the safety of long flights, the extra comfort is just a bonus
-
zhongxian(James)luo
There are other costs when purchasing larger planes such as maintenance, fuel, trainings. Purchase bigger planes only when there is ademand

Firstly, bigger planes mean bigger cost, not all customers are willing to pay for expensive flights. Secondly, it mostly depends on destinations. If it is a short flight, I believe most people prefer a cheaper ticket for a smaller plane. However, people are inclined to better enjoyment of bigger plane if it is a 10 hours’ flight.

I flew on China Airlines this summer which has downsized their plane sizes despite being such a long flight. Should they use big planes then
-
Zhen Yi (David) Zhang
Not everyone is willing to pay for extra leg room because bigger planes means the airline will charge more for a ticket

Any decision that the managers make must benefit the business or the company. So good ethics are assets for companies.

Encourage business students not to trick the customers to make more profits ignoring ethics.
-
zhongxian(James)luo
We should only encourage students to develop their ideas in business instead of brain washing them to believe in a certain set of ethics.

Rather than trying to teach something, emphasizing that business isn’t just about the profit seems to be a possible way of training ethic.

We learned that only focusing on numbers and data makes it much easier to overlook the ethics and morality.

@ziyuehandennie Good ethical decisions do not negatively affect a business and holding good ethics draws positive attention from the public

Social responsibility is important. A business cannot be successful if it is not regraded as a rightful leader in its community.

business is absolutely not just about the profit and data…

It’s hard to teach people morality, especially when business is all about the bottom line. I believe it’s the governments job to ensure social responsibility is met. However a business must be ethical to ensure strong customer relations for its profit.

so much of ethics has to do with people’s core values, which are pretty much set and difficult to change at our age. not really teachable

@lenniemoo by presenting people as a graph, we dehumanize the employees. they are no longer human entities but a margin of profit

The article taught us that human decency can be void there’s no personal attachment to data (such as a name).
