What’s in my bag?

I could not believe how vulnerable I felt to have all the contents of my daily carry messenger bag laid out for everyone here to see. The goal of my video was to touch upon key items in my bag that held, were, or could represent text. Brown’s BAG project idea is an engaging and clever way to break down barriers. Brown’s work helps others begin to develop a deeper appreciation for who a person is and how they may value key items. This value ultimately defines the essence of who we are. The items in our bags is then an extension of ourselves.  I hope you all enjoy the video.

  1. Hey Anton, great way to show us what’s in you bag. Your bag seems very organized and well put together for what you need during your workday. I should have thought about doing a video, haha. I like that you keep your note that your student gave you. I have a couple of thank you notes from my former students as well that I keep close to me. It definitely helps me when when a need a confidence and positivity boost. The fact that my former students took the time to write the notes by hand makes them feel much more personal than if was just a text message or email. I appreciate them so much more. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Hi Anton,
I was interested to see what a male colleague would keep in their bag. I really liked how you did a video, makes your post more personal by having your voice explain the items and their relation to the text. What I took away the most was how your bag was a reflection of you as a teacher. It is a bag that is ready so that your students have success within your classroom, showing a teacher who takes his profession seriously and who cares. You are prepared for any tech situation. Caring the notes from admin and students I see a great reminder for why you do what you do. Thanks for sharing!
