Wellness Wednesday seventeen

These times have been challenging. Things are constantly evolving, and it feels that a lot of the good has been overcome with the bad.

However, the solidarity across Canada has been uplifting. It helps one feel they are not alone. I myself have been able to embrace new talents, hobbies and spend quality time with family.

While this feels and is truly extraordinary, please remember the importance of sticking through it together.

Reach out and check on loved ones. Not everyone is able to face this battle easily, and we may struggle in silence for far too long. Please remember to take a breath of fresh air for your mental health.

“We will come out of this storm. In the coming days, we have to stay calm and confident. And for sure, we will overcome this moment of despair. How long this will last cannot be ascertained. But the one thing that we can be sure of is that we will not be the same anymore. Hopefully, we would have changed for the better. This is the way of life This is how life teaches us its lessons.”

Reflection for COVID-19

With the current fear and stress surrounding this unpredictable period of time, I thought sharing this uplifting quote is fitting:

Please watch out for your mental health and the health of others around you. These are challenging times, and each day things are changing rapidly. Please remember to take a deep breath and think of small ways to relax and care for those around you. I also urge you to pay attention and stay up to date, but remember to tune into the media in small doses. Information can be overwhelming.

” If you’re going to measure your self-worth by a number, you might as well do it by how many times you’ve cried yourself laughing, or how many books you’ve closed with a funny warm feeling in your heart. It might as well be counted by the number of people who have been lucky enough to have you in their lives, or the amount of fluffy marshmallows you can fit inside your mouth. Your worth could be determined by the number of different places around the world that have had the privilege of being graced by your presence, or how many tiny droplets of rain you’ve seen drip down your window. Or, darling, maybe it’s something else completely for you… Don’t you see? You get to choose your own worth. It’s all up to you. Whatever it is, just promise me you’ll never let anybody dictate how much you mean to yourself.”

“I hope you find the kind of happiness that exists on your own terms. I hope you truly take the time to figure out what moves you, what encourages your soul, what you deeply crave from life, and I hope you have the courage to chase that. I hope you have the courage to believe that you are deserving of everything you desire, that you are capable and worth of curating the kind of life for yourself that sparks something within you. You have a fire inside of you – I hope you never let convenience, or comfort of the easiness of standing still put it out. I hope you how the world what you can do with all of that passion, I hope you show the world what you can do with all of that heart. At the end of the day, I hope you find what you’re looking for out there. I hope your life inspires you.

“This letter is to you.

The you that’s had a rough week. The you that seems to be under constant storm clouds. The you that feels invisible. The you that doesn’t know how much longer you can hold on. The you that has lost faith. The you that always blames yourself for everything that goes wrong. To you.

You are incredible. You make this world a little bit more wonderful. You have so much potential and so many things left to do. You have time. Better things are coming your way, so please hang in there. You can do it.”

– One million lovely letters – Jodi Ann Bickley.
