Two species were identified with molecular species delimitation. One representative of CHIC02 and three of CHIC03. There is limited information about the intra and interspecific variation. A potential difference between species may be longer anal tubercles for CHIC02. In life, CHIC03 is red with or without black, gray or orange markings in the thorax and lateral surface of the body. Live coloration for CHIC02 was not recorded.
