This is a predatory species at its larval stage. It has distinct ventral creeping welts, though not so protruding as Dolichopodidae sp. [big star]. The last abdominal segment has four small and rounded lobes, relatively closed. Setae on lobes are visible only under a microscope. One individual was sequenced.
