Orthocladiinae sp. [viridipectus]

Page

This is a not very common Orthocladiinae species in Pitilla. Unlike other species from the same subfamily, the procercal and anal setae and tubules are absent. Live individuals have green markings on the thorax. This trait may have greater variation with further sampling. Their posterior parapods are brown.

Only three individuals were found in the 2019 fall. We identified one species with molecular species delimitation.
