This resource provides a wealth of knowledge through videos. I was fortunate to travel on the Canada C3 expedition in 2017. This expedition brought Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals from coast to coast to coast to learn together to make a better Canada/Turtle Island. This was one of the most transformative learning experiences I have ever encountered. I was able to connect with my class virtually to share my journey. The videos that were produced daily on the ship truly speak to experiences that happened across Canada. I was able to hear and join in on ceremonies daily to build a better understanding of traditional knowledge.
Here are a few of my favorite videos from Canada C3 about Reconciliation:
Explore Canada C3 video resources as these are quick videos to provide knowledge to your class or for yourself to learn more about our histories. The videos share stories about relocation, reconciliation, impacts of the oil industry in communities, sixties scoop, ceremonies, celebration of cultures, and personal stories. Please take the time to navigate this resource and learn more about Canada from coast to coast to coast.
This resource is valuable because it shows how videos can become a teaching tool to provide a voice for Indigenous Peoples.

Thank you for your post Paula! These are great resources for people from all walks of life. I especially like the blanket ceremony as I believe it provides a tangible way for people to learn about the history of Indigenous peoples since contact with European people happened. That must have been an amazing experience you had on the expedition and being able to share that experience with your class, I imagine, must have been quite impactful.
Thanks Seth for your response. I also find the blanket ceremony a remarkable way to understand our histories. When I did the blanket ceremony in Kingston it was a very emotional day. We had Indigenous and nonindigenous complete the exercise together. Many tears were shed. I have been trained and approved to do this with my classes. I did this with a group of grade 12 students. It is remarkable to see how suddenly many of the students have “aha” moments and start understanding the impacts of colonization. Such an important exercise to complete with others. I was very fortunate to partake on the C3 expedition. Watch their videos and you will learn so much! Thanks for connecting.
Hi Paula,
These videos are very educational and as you clearly stated dually serve as a voice for Indigenous Peoples.
I have integrated these videos into a new curriculum I am designing for my final project of this course. These resources were very helpful. Thank you!
