Points will be taken off for too long (i.e., over 15 minutes) or too short (under 10 minutes) presentations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Q&amp;A time will be also used\n<ul>\n<li>for the presenting group to disconnect their laptop from the projector while answering the questions, and<\/li>\n<li><strong>for the next group to prepare for their presentation<\/strong> (e.g., load the slides or connect their laptop to the projector).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Dresscode<\/h2>\n<p>All presenters should be dressed <a href=\"http:\/\/career.vt.edu\/job-search\/presenting_yourself\/attire\/business-casual.html\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">business casual<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Awards<\/h2>\n<p>Awards will be announced at the end of the mini-conference in the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best design project<\/li>\n<li>Best implementation project<\/li>\n<li>Best analysis project<\/li>\n<li>Best presentation<\/li>\n<li>Most holistic approach to security engineering<\/li>\n<li>Best video clip of the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Winners of the awards will be decided by the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/cpen442\/mini-conference\/jury\/\">jury<\/a>. Prizes will be awarded to the winner groups, if they are present during the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, members of award-winning teams will get bonus points added to their final grades for the course. Every student in the team that wins \u201cBest\u201d or \u201cMost\u201d award gets 2 bonus points. Every student in the team that wins \u201cSecond Best\u201d or \u201cSecond Most\u201d award gets 1 bonus point.
