These notes will have a different feel, as we\u2019re not solving an algorithmic problem but performing analysis on algorithms (or, in some cases, performing bits and pieces of that analysis). That said, they&#8217;re in service, as always, of solving algorithmic problems!<\/p>\n<p>A few notes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Here are <strong>today\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/cpsc3202016w2\/files\/2017\/01\/2017-01-16-asymptotic-analysis-notes.pdf\">notes on asymptotic analysis<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Here is a <strong>handout describing <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/cpsc3202016w1\/files\/2016\/09\/2016-09-19-little-o-and-omega-handout.pdf\">little-o and little-\u03c9 notation<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read Section 3.1<\/strong> of the textbook introducing graphs. (But, <strong>no pre-class quiz for Wednesday<\/strong>. However, the following pre-class quiz has been sent out already, if you want to get a start on it.)<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>add\/drop deadline is Tue 17\u00a0Jan<\/strong>. (We\u2019d love to have you stay, but if you intend to drop, don\u2019t miss the deadline!)<\/li>\n<li>As of ~1PM on Saturday, today\u2019s pre-class quiz was going well.
