My name is Craig and I work as the educational technology specialist at a non-profit here in Vancouver. I kind of fell into education and learning technology by accident – I did a Masters degree in Business (also from UBC) and was originally hired to write a business plan for the education department, but slowly took on more and more work directly related to education and realized I loved it. My job is a combination of project manager, instructional designer, curriculum developer, learning & media technologist, and IT support person (we’re a very small organization).

The technologies I’m most familiar with are (in no particular order): Moodle, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, the Adobe Creative Suite, and WordPress,

Right now I’m very interested in team-based approaches to instructional design, experience design, interface design, and learning analytics.

I also hope to learn more about agile project management, and making it work in practice.
