Welcome to the Contractor Education Program at the Dr. Peter AIDS Centre.

This introductory section is about the course, what it covers, and how to navigate it. Please read the following information before advancing to the next section.

You will need a password to access the material on this site. You get this from your employer.

What is the Dr. Peter AIDS Centre?

Who takes this course?

Every worker who comes onto the Dr. Peter AIDS Centre site needs to take this course before they start work.

When should I take this course?

You do this course on your own time

You can work on it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

But you need to finish the course and get the certificates before you start work on site.

How long will it take?

This course should take 90 minutes to two hours to complete

You can take more time if you need it

You do the work at your own pace, whenever you have time.

What will I learn?

After completing this course you’ll learn:

  • What the Dr. Peter AIDS Centre is and who we serve
  • How to protect your health and safety while in the building
  • Guidelines for working with vulnerable populations
  • Privacy protections everyone working in the Dr. Peter AIDS Centre must abide by

How will I know if I passed?

All of the quizzes and the case study in this course are multiple choice. They can all be taken as many times as you need, and you will get feedback every time you answer incorrectly.

After successfully completing each section you get Certificate of Completion.

In order to advance to the next section you must score 100% .

 

How do I prove I completed the course?

After completing each module you’ll receive a certificate of completion. When you have both certificates you should email them, along with your WHMIS certification, to the Dr. Peter AIDS Centre, who will confirm your access to the building.

What do I do when I finish the course?

After you complete both sections, follow the red arrow and you'll move on to the concluding module, which has instructions for what to do next.
