The Dr. Peter AIDS Centre requires that all workers receive training in the following three areas:
- Dealing with bioharzardous infectious materials, especially related to HIV/AIDS
- Awareness when dealing with people living with mental illness
- BC’s privacy laws
You will watch video presentations that explain each of these topics. Then you will do a multiple choice quiz to check for understanding.
Finally, there will be a case study that asks you to apply your knowledge about health and safety along with your understanding of the special issues involved in working around our residents.
In order to pass you need to get 100% on both the multiple choice quiz and the case study. You can do the quiz and case study as many times as you need to. After passing you’ll receive a certificate of completion.
