Nintendo’s CSR Report (2014)

Nintendo’s 2014 CSR report shows that Nintendo has done many things to help American’s environment like Product Take Back and Recycling Programs and Product Repairs and Returns.

These kind of ethical activities help Nintendo gain more reputation and costume loyalty. For Nintendo itself, it may costs but it also helps to promote Nintendo’s commitment to added values under its social responsibility charters. When more people recognize the brand, the customer base becomes wider.

Though government has pointed out that business should behavior in what they perceive to be beneficial directions, business ethics is still crucial for the corporate to improve its competition power and achieve the profit maximization. Besides, the welfare motivate employees to a large extent, therefore, the productivity increases. Thus, business ethics means a business is responsible for the society, a good relationship between the corporate hierarchies that means the potential efficiency can be exploited, and a higher serviceability that makes Nintendo’s market share maintains or even increases.

Nowadays customers care more about added value and business culture than before. Therefore, on the other words, the competition of corporates is the competition of business ethics. Obviously, Nintendo is very competitive on this.
