Hello everyone,
I am Jessica from korea and my Korean name is Da Jung.
I like travelling and experience new cultures so I have been in Austraila for about a year (including Newzleand) and I have visited several European countries like Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France for 4 months.
While I was travelling in different nations, I have encounted lots of different cultures so through my various cultural experiences i became really broad minded. Therefore, whenever I face a new circumstance, I try to understand and to respect their way.
Also while I was travelling, I have organized some small trips with my friends.
Once, I organized a trip in Queensland in Australia for 4 days so, I arranged dolphin feeding, horse racing (not gambling), Morton Island tour by car and so forth. Through the trips, I could improve my organizaion and convincing skills
(convincing skill for making my friends join a trip)
Therefore, what I am interested in is working in a cooperation as a team member because I am good at working with people. Especially, I want to work in an international company due to my open minded so, I can work people well who have different backgrounds and cultures.
The most valuable working experience in my life was working in a cafe in Melbourne, Australia.
I just worked there for 2 months and I learned lots of things in a short time.
Basically, I learned about how to serve food to customers and also i could impove my comunication skill with customers because it was really important to have close relationships with clients. Moreover, I found my new ability that I could read other people’s mind with their facial expression easily so I could help them more effectively. Therefore, even though our lunch time was incredibly busy, we could make a great service to our customers.
The most valuable volunteer experience in my life was teaching students Mathmetics and English. I was not only their teacher but, I also mentored them.
It was really thankful time for me that I had a chance to understand teenagers and learned about their cultures which is a bit different from my generation. Also I was so happy that I could adivse and help them to chosse better dicisions.
