Hi my name is Dale, and I am super close to finishing my second degree in the Bachelor of Computer Science program at UBC. My previous degree is in Political Science, which I got from the University of Calgary, and then used to enjoy a previous career in media. After reassessing my career goals in 2019, I decided to return to school and retrain in technology. I am currently working as a project manager at an IT company and hope to finish my three remaining courses part-time over the next year.<\/p>\n
My academic and professional interests lie in the intersection between media and technology. I feel this is an area of growth that has just started to realize its potential, and an area of employment where I will be well-suited for success. After graduation, I hope to take the experience I gained in content creation and project management and combine it with the software development and pipeline skills I’ve learned at UBC. No matter what path my career ends up taking, effective communication will be central to my success, so I am excited to hone my skills with all of you over the summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
