My name is Danae Echeverria and I was born in Mexico City, Mexico—although I moved to Vancouver in 2002 and have been living here ever since. I started at UBC in general studies, exploring my options until I finally decided on English Literature.
As of right now, I aim to work in marketing as it is a field that offers plenty of opportunities to be creative. Apart from academics, my interests include music, art, and film—I am a huge fan of anything that involves Studio Ghibli. I’ve also been working as a barista at a local café in Coquitlam for over three years now which has played a major role in my coffee addiction. I even did some of the café’s social media marketing along the way which allowed me to dip my toe into the marketing world.
