There is a rumour that Tesla is going to add automated driving or driving assist system in the Model S which is a luxury sedan. Actually before there were some automakers already started to develop this technology, such as Volkswagon and Mecedes-Benz.

This new technology is basically to install a radar and a camera in front of a vehicle to detect all the obstacle. Furthermore, this allows car to park themselves and automatically maintain a safe distance from the car in front of. I believe this is a future tendency for car industry since this technology can reduce the rate of car accident greatly, and also relieve stress from people. However, this technology is still developing, there are some uncertainties can lead to serious problems. To exemplify, the braking system may not be sensitive enough to deal with emergency situations. What’s more, this can cause social controversy because as more and more things are being replaced by technology, people gets lazier. For one thing, this can simplify their life; for another, this is not good for the training of their brain.

All in all, everything coin has two sides, the Tesla Automated Driving is the same as this rule
