Kelly made a very good observation about the relationship between companies and the First Nations. If a company tries to use native people’s land to do business, it should definitely pay attention to what those local people will think.

Although some people, especially business people, are fed up by the news that First Nations dispute over land issues, I think Canada should be really thankful to them. If they all like all other capitalists who simply want to make profits and care nothing about the environment, we should be the ones who suffer the most. If anyone has paid attention to what is happening in China, he will know what I mean. Right now, APEC is having its summit in Beijing, and the local government has to discourage more than half of the drivers from driving in order to have a few days of blue sky. If we don’t take care of the environment, we are going to pay much more in the future for what we do.

Therefore, when people plan to do businesses, they should always put environment into consideration.
