The United Nations (UN) is an intergovernmental organization established on 24 October 1945 to focus on regulating global issues. However, how effective it is when it comes to its functions. As far as I am concerned, due to the great pressure of some big countries, it is not able to fulfill its responsibilities. What even worse is that UN is manipulated by some big countries like United States under some circumstances. Therefore, the Arc Initiative offers an opportunity to teach sufficient business knowledge and build economic foundations in less developed countries. 

Right now, the program only builds connection between Sauder students and four impoverished regions. It turns out there still many room for improvements, such as expand its ranges and diversify its regions. At the same time, I think the program can engage students from other faculties rather than just Sauder students since they more contribute differently in some aspects.
