On Monday I taught my first planned lesson, it was a math card game called You’re a 10 subtraction. The students really enjoy learning and practising their math through card games. For this game I explained and showed the students how to play by demonstrating under the projector. I then let the students pick their own partners. I am happy I let them do this, even though it was a little chaotic and some didn’t work. The reason I’m happy I did this is because I learnt which students work well together and which don’t. I also was able to see the various math levels.
