April 27 – May 1

This week I got to attend an SEL meeting, which meant that I had to plan for a TOC. I was nervous to do this and nervous to have someone else teach my lesson because all I could think about was that it would go terribly wrong. Planning for someone else to teach my lesson really tests my ideas and thankfully it went well this time! I wanted to make sure that everything was perfect for the TOC so I made sure that everything was prepped and waiting for her. I also made sure that there was extra stuff for the students to do. To make sure that my lessons weren’t confusing I wrote a short note to the TOC explaining the lessons. Luckily the TOC was one that had been in our room before so she knew a bit about the students and so I didn’t have to prep her on that part. After coming back from the meeting I was nervous but interested to see how it went and how my lessons were. The TOC said it went well and that the lessons were great! I think that it is a real test for my ideas and lessons when someone else has to execute them.
