Copy Cat
Students learn this script and then as a class you say it and insert different names and then copy their actions.
“Lets play copy cat just for fun
We’ll copy ________ she’s the one
Whatever she does, we’ll do the same
That’s how we play the copy cat game”
Counting/ Number Games
Counting/ number game (eg. don’t say a number with 7 or multiple of 7 etc.)
Tell students you are thinking of a number between 1-20 and then give clues (eg. it is a multiple of 5, it is an odd number etc.)
Silent Ball
Silent Ball
Students who catch the ball decide on the size of the ball and then throw to someone else who is making eye contact with them.
Adaptations:
- Students who miss the ball have to sit down
- Students that catch the ball can answer a themed question
How often should you do a brain break?
Children need brain breaks in order to keep their focus and energy. Take the child’s age and add two, thats how often brain breaks should be.
