E-Learning Toolkit

I finally finished working my way through Web Design. I did some of the tutorials although some stopped a lot so it was hard to listen. I learned some key points to consider when setting up a web site. 1. Never embed a video on a page that autoplays when it is opened. 2.Simplicity is important 3. Be consistent with formatting 4. The easiest to view in a white background with black lettering. I took a look at Adobe’s Dreamweaver, Amaya, and NVU. I would like to be able to use one of them next time I create a weblog or a moodle. There are several free downloads available with specific guides to assist building a website. The cost in registering your site and yearly fees is not very much ranging from $10 – $30. It is amazing that this option to create ones own site is available. It used to be that you had to hire a company to build a website. It was fun to play around and make a storyboard. I went through the tutorial by W3 Schools and tried some HTML examples. I have had a bit of practice with HTML when doing a Wiki last term. These are good skills to acquire for future weblog designs.
