Here is a paper I co-authored quite a few years back on blended learning design…it is really a framework document, identifying major design factors. I have since worked more on the details of the various principles, and I think this paper will constitute the backbone for a presentation I will do in the CTLT Institute in May.

Janet, thank you for sharing this paper with us. I think most part of the paper is still valid and relevant to the questions/principles we are interested in digging out even now. But we may have more choices/options available for synchronous technologies in DE and blended environment compared to the time you wrote the paper. Not much drastic changes but some improvement has been made for sure.
BTW, Have you had a chance to publish an extended version of the paper?
