An excerpt from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Whole-New-Mind-Right-Brainers-Future\/dp\/1594481717\/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_c\" target=\"_blank\">A Whole New Mind<\/a> was assigned reading, and we&#8217;ve talked about him briefly in class. He has a great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/lang\/eng\/dan_pink_on_motivation.html\" target=\"_blank\">TED talk about workplace incentives<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Adventures-Johnny-Bunko-Career-Guide\/dp\/1594482918\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1287388481&amp;sr=8-1\" target=\"_blank\">This book<\/a> is a fun read, perfect for anyone at Sauder thinking about what they want to do when they graduate. Its the first business manga, and you&#8217;ll zip right through it. Don&#8217;t let it fool you, there are some good lessons in here.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1.<em> <\/em>There is no plan<\/p>\n<p>2. Strengths, not weaknesses<\/p>\n<p>3. It&#8217;s not about you<\/p>\n<p>4. Persistence trumps talent<\/p>\n<p>5. Make excellent mistakes<\/p>\n<p>6. Leave an imprint<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I&#8217;ll leave it up to you to fill in the blanks.
