The post created by Christopher prompting him to address issues related to the government and elicit feelings of disgust did indeed elicit those feelings from me as a reader.<\/p>\n
As I read the prompt, I too thought of climate change. However, that is where our similarities ended. Christopher’s connection to a pill and climate change were thoughtful, poignant and definitely elicited a feeling of fear as he cited\u00a0Dunne & Raby\u2019s (2013) distinction of \u00a0“possible” futures. \u00a0I would go further and suggest that his scenario is “probable” and “plausible<\/a>” too.<\/p>\n Additionally, I appreciated Christopher’s use of DALL-E 2 to create a desired image. The connection he made between this task and task 11 were was thoughtful and demonstrated an excellent use for image generators.<\/p>\n In my speculative future post (found here<\/a>) I focused on an underlining feeling of hope. Although Christopher’s post elicits negative feelings (as was required with a feeling of disgust), I believe there was a layer of hope in that a pill could potentially be created to solve some of the world’s problems; especially a scenario as drastic as the depletion of our natural resources.<\/p>\n References<\/p>\n Dunne, A., & Raby, F.
