Airline Reservation Application
Jan 2016 – Apr 2016
- Collaborated in a team of 4 to develop an application using Java Swing, JDBC, and MySQL simulating an airline reservation system
- Designed an SQL Database by defining integrity constraints, modeling entity-relationship diagrams, and utilizing database normalization
- Implemented and tested the ability for users to create an account, query the database for flights, and reserve flights
- Wrote a script in SQL to implement the schema and populate the database
Liquor Quicker: Web Application
Sep 2015 – Dec 2015
- Created an interactive web application using Django that plots liquor stores on a map in a team of 5 while utilizing the Agile Scrum development methodology
- Built a custom map displaying markers and info windows for pinpointing liquor store locations using the Google Maps API
- Implemented and tested a system for users to rate and review each liquor store
- Collaborated in front-end development written using JavaScript to create an interactive user interface allowing users to modify the current level of filtering
- Debugged JavaScript methods using the browser console to ensure the filtering options were displaying the correct liquor stores
Restaurant Quiz: Android Application
Sep 2014 – Dec 2014
- Developed an Android application where users guess the location of multiple restaurants, filtered by cuisine or Canadian city, in a time-limited quiz
- Programmed back-end functionality in Java to implement a JSON parser that extracted restaurant information from Yelp and directions from Google Maps
- Tested and debugged the application using an Android Virtual Device to ensure the program experienced no issues with functionality during presentation
