Monitoring Diabetes Symptoms

Many studies show that lifestyle changes, such as losing weight, eating healthy and increasing physical activity can dramatically reduce the progression of type 2 diabetes and are important to controlling type 1 diabetes. These lifestyle changes can help minimize other risk factors as well, such as high blood pressure and blood cholesterol, which can have a tremendous impact on people with diabetes.

Blood Pressure will be regularly checked during each and every training session until normalized values become constant.

Blood Cholesterol will be checked through Lipid Blood Tests to determine the concentration amount of lipids within the blood

  • Blood should be collected after a 12-hour fast (no food or drink, except water). For the most accurate results, wait at least 2 months after a heart attack, surgery, infection, injury or pregnancy to check Low Density Lipid levels.

Checkings one’s Glycemic Index and Glucose Levels  is the main tool in monitoring ones Diabetes control, and will be done through Glucose Level Meters that each client will bring in. It has been shown through research that depending on the severity of Diabetes, each client should be testing their blood sugar levels both prior and after each session to ensure that they are within a safe region of exercising to avoid any health complications.

All of these results will be done before the program actually begins as a pre-screening measure as baseline measures to help determine and develop an individualized program that will remain safe, not allow for any increase of health risks, and allow each client’s goal to become healthier and live a more functionally active lifestyle to come true.
