ABOUT THE CREATOR
I am Divya Gandhi (she/her/hers), and I am grateful to live, learn, work and play on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) and Tsleil – Waututh (səl̓ilw̓ət) people.
My journey into teaching began in 2017 when I was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer of Biology shortly after graduating from grad school. The experience was deeply fulfilling, as I had the privilege of guiding curious and eager minds through the fascinating world of biology. What I cherished most during my time in the classroom was not just teaching, but also how much I grew—both as a human and as an educator—by learning from the students I taught.
Over time, my role evolved, and I transitioned to becoming the Academic Head of the institute. In this capacity, I worked tirelessly to make learning enjoyable, accessible, and transformative for all disciplines. Each day, I strived to create an environment where students felt inspired and empowered to explore new ideas.
In 2023, life brought me from India to Vancouver—one beautiful place to another. As I work on transitioning back into the education field here, I realize that the paths may be different, but I am confident I will reach my destination in time.
