  • Worked in a team of 5 to develop a web application in 24 hours that takes an uploaded
    photo and uses the geolocation details to plot the location of where it was taken on Google Maps

ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
Maze, Sudoku, and Slider Puzzle Solver, Jan – Apr 2016

  • Wrote a C++ application that takes a maze and outputs the steps to the solution (if one exists)
  • Coded depth-, breath-, and best-first searching algorithms using stacks, queues, and priority queues
  • Implemented linked list, AVL tree, and hash tables with linear or double hashing data
    structures for the Dictionary ADT that stores maze states
  • Wrote unit tests to ensure the various implementation were working correctly

Mind the Gap Android Application, Sep – Dec 2015

  • Wrote an Android application that extracts and plots location of stops, tube lines
  • Used a JSON parser to retrieve real-time arrival information at the stations
  • Displayed user’s location and the nearest station is also highlighted
  • Used JUnit to test the model and parsing components of the application

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE:
British Columbia Cancer Agency, Jun 2014 – Present

  • Currently the Comfort Cart volunteer who walk around the Centre with a cart, offering affordable and convenient purchases of tea, coffee, and snacks for patients and families
  • Duties also include preparing and re-stocking the cart before the shift, and cash/balancing
    the till

South Granville Park Lodge Senior Home, May 2014 – Present

  • Work together with the Recreation Department to organize, prepare, and host events for the residents
  • Take wheelchair-bound residents out for fresh air and offer one-on-one visits

  • Worked together with Dr. Louis Deslauriers to design an assessment test for first-year level Physics classes
